"Maru" Siamese/dom cat needed for loving home - Elderly & kids! in GILLES PLAINS, South Australia for sale

Maru, born around April 2006 is a very loving Siamese and domestic cross who enjoys plenty attention and needs a loving home. There is no such thing as too much attention, soft or rough, when it comes to Maru! He is a family friendly, or an especially great pet for the elderly who appreciates any kind of love. He is desexed and has recently been treated for fleas and worms. Another treatment and a bath will be offered before adoption. He has never attacked me in the eight years I have had him and genuinely has a suck-up personality. A little fat and spoilt and enjoys spoiling his owners back by providing them a constant loving companionship.
He is the kind of cat once he establishes a relationship, will greet you when you come home, sit on your lap whilst you watch a movie and enjoys an arm around him when you're ready to sleep for the night. He is needy for attention and will always be in close vicinity in the room, gazing through the window, rolling around in sunspots, sleeping by your feet or trying to squish under your duvet for warmth.
He prefers indoors and outdoors, definitely not an outdoor only cat due to his slightly neurotic behaviour (common Siamese personality). He cannot be left outside for the day, and must have access to come inside or only stay inside. He is house trained, and if given food at night will come inside and stay inside during night. His personality is best described as timid at first and does take awhile to warm up to other people, especially other cats. Otherwise, he is best suited for a home with minimal to no pets as he becomes attached to his owners and prefers a lot of attention (hence kids are great, or the attention if the animal loving elderly). As I sat down and began typing this advert, he has literally made a comfortable sleeping spot on my foot.
He needs a new home as I'm a full time university student with no family in the state who can take care of him. I will be moving to an apartment where animals aren't allowed soon and can't afford to keep vaccinating him every few years. He's been my beloved companion for many years, so I'm looking to give him away for free with some food/treatments/bowls to any owner who doesn't mind spoiling their cat with lots of love.
He is genuinely worth considering, especially if you're interested in only having one pet in your house (he can handle another cat or cat-friendly dog but please keep in mind he won't be happy at first for awhile and may get jealous). This middle-aged cat will seem quite timid at first and be a little sick from the shock of a new environment, but after accepting you he will always love you every day (even when you're in a bad mood or upset, he'll still try to cuddle you) and it would be wonderful to give him a safe family he could spend there at of his life with.
